I didn’t learn BIM in a classroom. I learned it on real job sites, watching good tools get ignored and bad decisions get automated just as fast as good ones, because nobody had taught the person running the project how to tell the difference. That’s the gap I care about closing in the classroom: not another software tutorial, but the judgment to know when a tool is worth trusting and when it isn’t.

Since 2023, I’ve taught three construction information systems courses at UF’s Rinker School, reaching 45+ students from Honors undergraduates to graduate students and bringing more than a decade of experience in construction management, cost estimating, BIM/VDC delivery, and technology adoption into the classroom.

Full-scale multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, scheduling, and visualization, where I taught and troubleshot live coordination sessions alongside the lead instructor.
